Why I built this

A few years ago I got a letter from the IRS. Not a refund. A penalty. I missed a quarterly estimated tax payment — not because I didn't have the money, but because nobody reminded me. I had it on a sticky note. The sticky note didn't make it.

That same year I paid my accountant an extra $400 because my receipts were a disaster. A folder on my desktop called "taxes maybe." She spent two hours sorting my mess at her hourly rate.

Then I found out my LLC's annual report had lapsed. I didn't even know annual reports were a thing. My LLC was technically dissolved and I was still signing contracts under its name.
